VTEX DO manages tasks automatically created by the VTEX Admin that require manual action by the ecommerce team. To access it, log in to your VTEX Admin, go to Orders > All orders, and click on the inbox icon in the bottom right corner of the page. By clicking on the icon, a modal will display the list of tasks related to the store's orders.

Only users with the OMS - Full Access role can perform tasks through VTEX DO.
The tasks are listed in two tabs:
- All: all tasks related to orders from the store's account.
- Mine: tasks assigned to the user logged in to the account.
The number displayed next to the tab titles corresponds to the tasks in each category ("All" and "Mine"), which includes open and closed tasks. Scrolling the bar in each tab loads new tasks in the list.
To exit VTEX DO, simply click the X
icon or anywhere on the Order Listing page, outside the modal.
Searching and filtering tasks
There is a search bar where you can search for a task by its name, by the name of the user assigned to the task, or by comments.
The filter selector allows you to select a single option or combine filters. To apply filters, click on Filter
, select the desired option and click outside the filter box, inside the modal. You can filter the tasks by:
- Only open tasks
- Only not assigned
- Catalog
- Commercial
- Infrastructure
- Backoffice
- Front-end
- Marketplace
Tasks
The tasks listed have information that characterizes them, including:
- Message (described in more detail in the table below).
- Order ID.
- Payment ID.
- User to whom the task is assigned.
- Tags used to filter the list.
To manage VTEX DO in an organized way, we suggest marking a task as Completed only once it is finished, to avoid working on it again or wasting time when viewing the task list in the future.
An exception to this recommendation is when the retailer decides to finalize a task even though they have not accepted it, for example, when an order cancellation request is reversed by Customer Service.
Tasks managed through VTEX DO can include messages from all VTEX systems. Some examples of messages are:
