Store Profile

VTEX provides in its Admin the Find Sellers and Marketplaces and Integrations pages. Both aim to enable and promote communication between sellers and marketplaces operating in the VTEX ecosystem, creating new business opportunities and mutual growth for all involved.

To contact potential partners in these lists, you need to activate your store profile as a marketplace, seller, or both on the Store Profile page in Marketplace > Store Profile or by typing Store Profile in the search bar.

Store Information

The information completed in the Store Information section will not be applied to your storefront but to the Find Sellers and Marketplaces and Integrations pages.

  • Logo: Your store logo image, with a maximum size of 500 kB.
  • Store name: Your store trade name.
  • Industry: Your store industry. Select the industry in which your store operates from the dropdown list.
  • Country: The country where the headquarters or the store main operation is located.
  • Ecommerce link: URL of the brand official website.
  • Select the states where your store delivers to: Checkboxes for each state are displayed.

Activating the Seller Profile

If you want to operate only as a seller and sell your products on other marketplaces, you will need to activate your seller profile by following the steps and recommendations below.

  1. In the Marketplace section of your VTEX Admin, click Store Profile or type Store Profile in the search bar.
  2. Complete the form with your Store Information.
  3. Complete the Seller Profile section.
  4. Click the Terms and Conditions of Use of Marketplace Network link and scroll down to read them.
  5. Click the Save Changes button in the top right corner of the page.

Completing the Seller Profile

To complete the Seller Profile, click the to start completing the profile. Then, click Save changes, and your store will be visible or hidden on the Find Sellers page for the marketplaces.
Below are the fields and guidelines for completing the section.

  • Public profile description: Text with up to 1,200 characters describing your store and operation that will be visible on your profile. We suggest you add your operation details, such as delivery SLA, logistics coverage, and the main categories of your product mix, among others.
  • Contact name: Name of the person responsible for contacting potential partners. We suggest that this contact is the person in your team already responsible for engaging with partners.
  • Email: Email address of the person responsible for contacting potential partners. Ensure it is a valid email address, as this is where you will receive the messages sent.
  • Phone number: Phone number of the person responsible for contacting potential partners.
  • Use standard message: Message created by the store to be used as default in the messages marketplaces will see in the Contact seller field when clicking your profile. Even if you activate this option, you can edit the message before sending it to the potential partner.

Activating the Marketplace Profile

If you want to operate only as a marketplace and sell other sellers' products in your environment, you will need to activate your marketplace profile by following the steps below.

  1. In the Marketplace section of your VTEX Admin, click Store Profile or type Store Profile in the search bar.
  2. Complete the form with your Store Information.
  3. Complete the Marketplace Profile section.
  4. Click the Terms and Conditions of Use of the Marketplace Network link and scroll down to read them.
  5. Click the Save Changes button.

Completing the Marketplace Profile

To complete the Marketplace Profile, click the to start completing the profile. Then, click Save Changes, and your store will be visible or hidden on the Marketplaces and Integrations page.

  • Email: Email address of the person responsible for contacting potential partners. Ensure it is a valid email address, as this is where the messages sent to your store will arrive.
  • Phone number: Phone number of the person responsible for contacting potential partners.
  • Use standard message: The customized message sellers will see as default in the Send a message field when clicking your profile. Even if you enable this option, you can edit the message before sending it to the potential partner.

Recommendations

When interacting with the Find Sellers and Marketplaces and Integrations pages, please be aware of the following recommendations to leverage the feature to its fullest:

  • Add the brand's official website when completing your store profile.
  • We suggest putting the contact of employees already qualified and responsible for attracting partners.
  • Ensure that the entered email and phone number are valid and up-to-date.
  • Keep your profile updated with the proper links and information about the company.
  • Write an appealing description of your store. Your profile is displayed in the Find Sellers and Marketplaces and Integrations lists, so it is crucial to give context and mention your strengths.
