Editing a required field on Profile System of Master Data
Master Data is a module of the VTEX platform used to store and organize documents. Find out how to make a form field mandatory in Master Data in the instructions below.
This article describes how Master Data v1 works. It is important that you evaluate which Master Data version meets the needs of your operation or is already in use.
The following steps will allow you to select a field and make it mandatory:
- In the VTEX Admin, access Store Settings > Storefront > Master Data.
- Make sure that you are in the Applications tab.
- Click the gear icon in Profile System.
- Click on the pencil icon next to the form you wish to configure.
- Click on Layout Schemas.
- Within one of the form sections, find the field you wish to configure and click next to it to open the Advanced Field Settings.
- In Advanced Field Settings, select Required form field.
- Click
OK
. - Click
Save
.
From now on, the selected options will be mandatory in the form. The settings above can be changed if necessary.
