A service is an item that may come with a product, optionally and with cost. It is used to assign a value, often emotional, but also of an additional service itself to an SKU. For example, a gift packaging, a distinctive ribbon, a gift card or a product installation.
It's important to remember that a service is always charged. However, VTEX does not control the stock of a service. This is a responsibility of the marketplace or the seller.
If your purchased product is a Brazilian National Team Shirt, the name of your service might be Gift Packaging_, and it might be displayed during the order flow on the screen that you choose: product, cart or service.
